Art Nouveau in Motion

I attempt to portray the tendrilous qualities of Mucha's Art Nouveau with a Monti piece composed 6 years after the release of this J.O.B lithograph poster in 1898. Intensive illustrative work of my own was required in creating the rest of her entire torso, dress and body parts and smoke which were previously obscured parts of her hair or the typography. A union between music and visuals were also strived for, as I paired the camera motion and hair with each stroke of the voilin's ascending or descending note. This piece was one of three submissions selected to be on permanent display at UMBC's Performing Arts & Humanities Building, chosen from 100 entries.
